The South African Masters Weightlifting Federation (SAMWF) was started by Koos Henning and Antoinette Kriel in January 2016. Prior to this Masters athletes (35+ years of age) competed under the South African Weightlifting Federation (SAWF) but did not have their own body. The SAMWF has its own Executive Committee (link) and constitution (link).
The SAMWF is responsible for:

We would therefore like to invite you to register with us (online registration available soon) so that we can keep you informed of all developments and competitions throughout the year and to become part of a community of like-minded individuals who are passionate about the beautiful sport of WEIGHTLIFTING.
